I spent the Summer of 1999 working for the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) in Tirana, Albania. I supervised Albanian social workers who were providing social sevices for Kosovar Albanian refugees fleeing the war in their country. It was a life changing experience for me. I wrote journal entries and emailed them home to my family and friends.
