Nathaniel was born on February 8, 1982 after 36 hours of labor, on a very, very cold winter day in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

After three years in Hutchinson, we moved to Jackson, New Jersey, in 1983. Nathaniel quickly made new friends in the neighborhood.
After three years in New Jersey, we moved back to Minnesota, as Nathaniel turned 4 years old, and had a hard time saying goodbye to Joey.
