Spirituality
I've heard someone say that we are not human beings with a soul, but we are spiritual beings living in a human body.  That's how I look at my existence here.  These pages which follow will contain a very personal glimpse into my view of the world.  They will be about the interpersonal and eternal struggle of my soul versus my body and how I attempt to mediate that ever so slightly decreasing conflict.

As a Social Worker, I am always looking for ways to grow, emotionally, socially and spiritually.  I see mental health as being very closely related to spiritual health.  I am spurred on by Socrates' urging to "know thyself."  So I have included links to personality tests and surveys which I have found helpful.

Spirituality is about recognizing beauty all around me... in nature, in people, in random acts of kindness, in music (listen to my flute) and in artistic creations of all kinds.  I hope to introduce you to some of these things which inspire me.

Its about connectedness... seeing the world as a complex interconnected web of relationships.  Its about asking questions about my soul's relationship with my body, my relationship with the earth, my relationships with other people... my children, my parents, siblings, friends and perhaps most impacting, with strangers who we meet only in passing, yet exchange important pieces of information and energy.

As you can see, there is a huge amount of material here, and this is not even scratching the surface. Perhaps what I share here will inspire one of you to begin asking the hard questions about the most difficult path to follow... your own.

To see a World in a grain of sand
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the Palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
